Three-way CRM comparison for advisory firms
Wealthbox vs. Redtail:which CRM to choose
Wealthbox and Redtail are the two CRMs most advisory firms end up choosing between. Here is how they compare on price, packaging, AI, and workflows, and why a growing number of firms skip both for a CRM built on AI from the start.

Hundreds of advisory firms have already made the switch to Slant

“Partnering with Slant has upended the archaic ‘seek and find’ of information, notes, and data to create a simple, easy way for our team to serve our clients better. The only problem is that we didn’t have it sooner.”

Where Wealthbox and Redtail actually differ
Price and packaging
Redtail is cheaper. Wealthbox charges by tier.
Redtail is $39 to $59 per user per month and puts nearly everything in its Growth plan, though Launch is capped at five users. Wealthbox runs $59 to $99 across Basic, Pro, and Premier: workflows and two-way email sync start at Pro, dashboards and custom reports at Premier.
AI and notetaking
Wealthbox sells AI. Redtail borrows it.
Wealthbox’s AI Notetaker is a $49 per-user add-on on top of any plan. Redtail has no notetaker of its own; meeting notes come from Jump, GReminders, or FinMate, each billed separately. Neither includes AI in the base price.
The third option
Neither one was built on AI.
Firm-wide chat, automations that run on the whole household, intake forms, document extraction: none of it exists in Wealthbox or Redtail at any tier. That is the gap Slant was built to close, in one plan, with the notetaker included.
Whichever you’re on, switching takes days.
