Why we built Slant

AI is changing the world and the financial services industry is ripe for disruption. Relationships, judgment, and timing will matter more than ever.

Pageport's first product was a marketing automation tool that was being used across multiple industries — photographers, tech companies, ad agencies, you name it. After a few months, our first financial advisor customer signed up and they LOVED IT. A few weeks later, more advisors were coming to the site and they needed Pageport. A few months later, we were building advisor-specific integrations and workflows and before you knew it — we were entirely focused on advisors. We went all in — from reading Kitces every day, meeting with advisors across the country, and doing everything we could to become the best advisor tech tool we could. Working with 100's of firms exposed quite a few things to us:

  • Advisors were putting up with bad systems and bad tech
  • Our team loved working with financial advisors

Now 400+ firms use Pageport every day. It's mission-critical software to help them run a piece of their business. As we talked with and visited customers, we kept uncovering consistent pain points across all advisors:

  • Advisors want client reviews to be scheduled on their calendar, not their to-do list
  • Advisors want client onboarding to take minutes, not days
  • Advisors don't want to take meeting notes
  • Advisors want to offer a white glove service to their clients but don't have time to give every client their best attention
  • Advisors are looking to hire amazing assistants and struggle to find the right people for the job
  • Advisors want to scale their business without directly scaling headcount
  • Advisors were using ChatGPT and Copilot to do more and more every day, but it lacked their internal client data to be SUPER EFFECTIVE

As knowledge is made readily available, it will be crucial for an advisor's edge to come from how they deliver, not just what they know.
